Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger believes the pair Theo Walcott and Olivier Giroud did not want to leave in January.
The duo left after many years from the club. Walcott chose conversion to Everton after 12 years with Arsenal, while Giroud remained in Chelsea’s capital.
“I always say that the players who fought for our shirt and our club want to be respected.”
“All our fans knew that Theo did not leave because there was a problem with Arsenal.”
That was just because he wanted to play. ”
“Today, people are informed and can not fool them. Theo is in love with Arsenal and is a boy who always respected the fans and the club. ”
“It was completely justified and I’m very happy that he got a great expectation.”
Wenger also spoke about Giroud: “Olivier is also a lover of Arsenal.”
“He left for reasons similar to Theo Walcott, being sad. His professional career required this move, but his heart wanted him to stay. ”
“Both Theo Walcott and Olivier Giroud are similar,” Wenger said.
The players have asked for minutes to compete for their nationals for a place in the World Cup.
